New National Union Scholarship and Application Process

The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) – of which the New Brunswick Union is a member - is pleased to announce a new, the Scholarship for Black Students. It will come with an award of $2,500 that is similar to its other scholarships.
The essay question will be: Describe the contributions of two trailblazers of African descent, past or contemporary, and how it has benefited you as a person.
This brings the total number of annual NUPGE scholarships to eight as follows:
• Brian Fudge Memorial Scholarship
• Scholarship for Black Students
• Scholarship for Indigenous Students
• Scholarship for LGBTQI2S Students
• Scholarship for Students of Colour
• Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship
• Tommy Douglas Scholarship
• Young Worker Scholarship - two to be awarded

Applications for the scholarships are now online and can be accessed at https://scholarships.nupge.ca. More information about entry requirements can also be found on the web page. Please note that the cut-off date for applications is July 5, 2021.
